Relax and Restore: 90-minute Yin and Yoga Nidra workshop with Daria Join Daria for a deeply relaxing afternoon exploring Yin yoga and yoga Nidra. The workshop will start with Yin yoga and affirmations to ease into the physical body, before ultimately dropping into the Nidra practice. Yin is a slow-paced yoga style with passive, longer-held poses, targeting our deep connective tissues. It is a perfect way to unwind and balance out our nervous system from the stresses of everyday life. Yoga Nidra, known as Yogic Sleep, is a powerful technique where you learn to relax consciously. It is done lying down in savasana. We will be working with the fundamental aspects of yoga Nidra: intention setting, body scan, breath-work and visualisation. Why do we need Yoga Nidra? We encounter even higher levels of stress and tension at the moment. We can’t fully relax, waking up exhausted even after 8 hours of sleep because we can never truly let go. This is why we must learn how to relax and harmonize our own body and mind. Yoga Nidra is an efficient form of rest and rejuvenation. It is said that one hour of yoga Nidra is as restorative as 4 hours of sleep. You will emerge fully relaxed and restored. No experience is required, all you need is yourself and some comfy clothing you will stay warm in as the body cools down during Yoga Nidra. Feel free to grab extra blankets and anything else to make yourself comfortable.
